Abstract

The purpose of this study is to design a mathematical problem PISA model using the Lubuklinggau context for junior high school students. The subjects in this study were grade IX students of SMP Negeri 5 Lubuklinggau. In this study, researchers used a research method of development or known as research and development. The Development Model in this research refers to the development of a 4-D model which consists of 4 stages, namely the defining stage, the design stage, the development stage and the disseminate stage. But in this study, researchers limit the development stage only to the design stage (design). This study produced an initial draft of the PISA model using the Lubuklinggau context to train students' Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) with quantity content.
